We are thrilled and proud to announce that Ajyaal has been nominated for two awards at the prestigious Etisalat Award for Arabic Children’s Literature 2024, one of the most esteemed awards in the field of children’s and young adult literature in the Arab world. Organized by the UAE Board on Books for Young People (UAEBBY) and sponsored by “e&” Emirates, this award brings together the best Arabic and international publications, and we are honored to be part of this remarkable competition.
Ajyaal has been shortlisted in two major categories:
1. “Daughter of the Pearl Diver and the Babu Necklace” in the “Young Adult Book” category – A rich and captivating story inspired by Emirati heritage, blending the past with the present, offering young readers an emotional and intellectually stimulating literary experience. This book is not just a tale, but a bridge connecting our culture with the aspirations of the next generation.
2. “Shabahna’s Treasure” in the “Chapter Book” category – An exciting adventure that takes children on a journey filled with challenges and values. This book provides a unique literary experience that engages their imagination and encourages critical thinking and a love for exploration.

Out of 330 entries from 21 countries, Ajyaal is proud to represent the UAE in this prestigious competition. Our books do more than entertain—they reflect our nation’s vision of fostering creativity and knowledge. Our stories are deeply rooted in Emirati culture and heritage, making this nomination a proud achievement both locally and internationally.
